Random Choice

Terms

Terms of Use

Random Choice is free to use with no account. Below is what that means in practice: the conditions the tools and guides are offered under, and how far responsibility for a result extends.

Scope and acceptance

These terms cover every free tool, guide article, and embeddable widget served from randomdom.com, in both the Korean pages and the English pages under /en.

Using the site means accepting these terms. If there is something here you do not agree with, please stop using it. There is no sign-up and no separate consent step.

What the service is

Random Choice is a set of free web tools for everyday decisions: picking presenters, setting an order, splitting teams, running prize draws. Results come from random algorithms and physics simulations that run in the browser.

Because all of the computation happens on your device, the service amounts to providing a program that runs in your browser when you load a page. It does not provide accounts, payments, or storage.

Responsibility for results

Anything a tool produces is a reference output. How you use that output in an actual decision is entirely your judgement and your responsibility.

Do not base hard-to-reverse decisions on a random result: contracts, performance reviews, money, or anything carrying a legal obligation need their own review and agreement between the people involved.

The operator is not liable for losses arising from the use of a result. If a tool behaves differently from how it is described, though, please report it and it will be checked and fixed.

What you enter

Anything you type into a tool is neither transmitted to a server nor stored on one. Even so, it is better not to enter other people's personal or sensitive information unnecessarily.

The share-link feature encodes your list into the URL itself, so passing the link on passes the list with it. Before sharing a list containing other people's names, make sure they are comfortable with that.

Using the embeddable widgets

You may embed the widgets free of charge on personal blogs, school and classroom pages, and internal company pages. No permission is required and there is no cost.

The snippet includes a link back to the original tool page. That link is what keeps these tools free to run, so leaving it in place is appreciated.

Copying the widget view itself, or re-serving it under a different origin as though it were your own service, is not permitted.

Prohibited use

The tools may not be used to harass or discriminate against anyone, for illegal gambling, or for any purpose that breaks the law.

Also prohibited: disrupting the site with abusive automated requests, scraping and republishing the content without permission, and clicking ads fraudulently or encouraging others to.

Content and intellectual property

The site layout, wording, guide articles, and original implementation belong to the operator or the lawful right holders. When quoting a guide, please cite the source and include a link.

The open-source libraries the site is built on are governed by their own licences. The main libraries and their licences are listed on the license notices page.

Advertising and external services

Advertising is served through Google AdSense to cover running costs, and Google Analytics is used to see visit statistics. Neither is placed inside the embeddable widget views.

What those services process, and how to switch personalised advertising off, is set out on the privacy policy and cookies pages.

Changes and availability

Tool features, site structure, and written content may change without notice as things are improved. As a matter of principle, new features will not introduce unnecessary sign-in or server-side storage.

This is a free service, so uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance or technical problems may make the site temporarily unreachable.

Changes to these terms

Updated terms are published on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.

These terms were last updated on 31 August 2026.
